Hi, I’m Helen, welcome to my shop, BESLOV.
I was born and am living in an Asian city, Hong Kong. I was interested in fashion and textile when I was a teenager. However when I grew up, I became a Chinese history teacher! I taught not only Chinese history, but also moral education in colleges for a few years. It’s a wonderful job, I like it very much.
During the time in the teaching field, I realized family education is more important than school education, so when I was expecting my first child, I decided to quit my job and became a stay-at-home mom (SAHM).
One of the benefits of being a stay-at-home mom is that I could breastfeed my child for as long as I like, without the pressure of work and milk-pumping chores. I breastfed my first child until she was 21 months old. Breastfeeding for this long is not common in Hong Kong, because most moms here go back to work six weeks after giving birth! Furthermore the breastfeeding clothes don’t encourage moms to breastfeed because they are of bad quality, oversized, old fashioned and hard to use outdoor.
I started to search for comfortable and trendy breastfeeding clothing, and I met Frank. He is a professional in designing breastfeeding clothing, and he has been making breastfeeding clothing for many years. I believe good breastfeeding clothing can encourage more moms to breastfeed their children. His designs drive me to the love of fashion and textile again, so we established our own brand, BESLOV. Yes, we are new in Etsy, but we are not new in designing and manufacturing breastfeeding clothing.
The hardest job for me now is not to design new items, but is to communicate with my treasured customers. My English has a big room for improvement. I sincerely hope that every customer can be completely satisfied, so what I am doing now is to try my best to reply in more details in English.
Because I believe mother’s milk is the best gift to a baby, and what we are now sending is gifts to a breastfeeding mom, I always pack our products beautifully as a gift to the customers. Sometimes I even spend half an hour wrapping the “gift”.
Thank you for stopping by! I really hope you enjoy our comfortable and stylish collection of breastfeeding clothes! Happy Breastfeeding!

Hi there, I am Frank. I make maternity and nursing clothes. My shop is called BESLOV.
I knew how to design, sew and make clothes since I was a teenager, as my family members ran a little business of making clothes. I love textile very much, so I spent a few years, making myself became a professional at textile, and I kept questioning why the qualities of clothes in China were not as well as international brand clothes.
In 2004, my daughter was born. A month after delivery, my wife went back to work. During working hours, she had to go back home few times a day to breastfeed. At that time, Chinese moms used to wear pajamas to breastfeed instead of nursing tops. One day, I had an idea, might be I could make her a top which is nursing friendly. I added a layer and cut two holes to tops and manufactured them in our factory. My wife was happy and her colleagues were curious about the tops. It was just for fun and made my wife happy, so after breastfeeding period, I hadn’t designed tops for breastfeeding, and soon I forgot about that.
In 2006, when I was walking down a street, a half-naked woman was nursing her baby in front of me. I was shocked. An idea just came to me. I decided to do something for them. From that point on, day and night, I tried to make some nursing clothes, which were stylish and comfortable to nursing moms and babies.
Although we just had little inventory, it sounded like a perfect starting point for me, so I started a shop. Unfortunately, our nursing clothes were not encouraged in China, most people were close-minded and thought nursing clothes were luxury goods. Every cloud has a silver lining. We tried to sell our nursing clothes to western countries through a Singapore’s brand, and I was so thankful that customers like them!
In 2014, we set up our new brand, BESLOV, and started selling on Etsy. And I am eagerly looking forward to both the challenges and the rewards that are to come.
